Dorothy in Wonderland
by Brian D. Taylor
Freely adapted from “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz,” “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,” and “Through the Looking Glass,” this play imagines what might happen if our favorite characters from Oz got lost in Wonderland. Not only must Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, Glinda, and the Wizard find each other, but they must also join forces with, and sometimes against, Alice and her mad friends, including the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Humpty Dumpty, the Cheshire Cat, the Caterpillar, and more, to defeat the tyrannical Queen of Hearts or else none of them might ever find their way home. Unfair accusations, mistaken identities, and much confusion ensue between so many beloved characters when the fantasy worlds of Wonderland and Oz collide.
Tickets for this Jackson County Young Artists’ Theatre production will be available online only beginning Monday, June 12th. If you need ticket assistance, please feel free to e-mail or call us at 812-358-5228.
