JCCT Accepting Directors’ Proposals
Anyone interested in directing a play for Jackson County Community Theatre’s 2009-2010 season is invited to submit a proposal for consideration by the board of directors. Proposal forms may be obtained by clicking the link at the right, or by calling 358-JCCT and leaving a message.
There are four productions in the theatre season. The group tries to balance the season with comedies, dramas, musicals, and mysteries. Plays proposed should be of appropriate content for the community. A stipend is available for directors who wish to receive some compensation for their work.
The season begins with a show in the summer, usually late August or early September. The second play is presented in early November. The third production is the dinner theatre in February. The season ends with a production in late April and/or early May. Directors submitting proposals should indicate their preferred dates. If you would like to direct a play, please submit a proposal to our Season Selection Committee; their address is at the right. Questions may also be addressed to this committee. The committee will review all proposals received and select four for the coming season. If you are interested in directing, and are flexible as to which play is being presented, please make that known to the committee as well. |
