Catfish Moon

The old fishing pier out on the end of Cypress Lake was the favorite hangout for three friends when they were kids. They are now adults and each has tasted both the sweetness and bitterness of life, and the pressures of adulthood have eroded the friendship between Gordon and Frog. The final straw comes when Frog discovers Gordon is dating Frog’s ex-wife Betty. Curley, the “big brother” of the bunch, tries to recapture the friendship and settle the dispute by setting up an all-night fishing trip back on the pier that seemed to be magical in their youth. On the pier, the group rediscovers their love for fishing, laughter and the friendship that was really never lost. The poignant ending brings the group to the realization that life is too short and too precious to let true friendship become “the one that got away.”
